Rukkayah Yussuf, one of the Founders of Oakbridge International School, is a visionary educator with a clear mission to create structured pathways for students to access global education opportunities. Her journey is one of resilience, transformation, and purpose.
Arriving in the United Kingdom at the age of 14 as a refugee, Rukkayah Yussuf overcame significant language and social barriers through determination and a steadfast commitment to academic excellence. Her inspiring leadership earned her invitations to Buckingham Palace in 2015 and 2017 to address royalty and academic leaders.
During these engagements, her story captured the attention of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Huddersfield, who awarded her a prestigious full scholarship. She subsequently graduated with First-Class Honours in Business Economics and went on to build successful educational platforms before establishing Oakbridge in Zanzibar.

Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Isha Begum’s journey has been shaped by a deep belief in the power of education to transform lives. A successful entrepreneur across multiple sectors, her purpose was profoundly reshaped when she became a mother.
Immersing herself in educational philosophies, she began exploring alternative approaches that allow every child to reach their full potential — not just academically, but as a whole person. Isha discovered a shared mission with Rukkayah Yussuf, leading to the creation of a learning environment that combines academic excellence with individuality.
Today, Isha brings her entrepreneurial insight and passion for business studies to help equip students with the confidence and practical skills needed to navigate an ever-changing world. Her vision is rooted in the belief that success comes from discovering and nurturing the unique strengths within every student.

Abui Mrusi

Abui Mrusi is a Zanzibar diaspora entrepreneur whose journey bridges the UK and East Africa. Raised and educated in Leicester, in the East Midlands of England, he completed both his secondary school and sixth form education through the British education system — an experience that helped shape the discipline, confidence, and global outlook that would later define his career.
After college, Abui Mrusi moved to Zanzibar where he furthered his studies at State University of Zanzibar and later pursued aviation training in Tanzania and Johannesburg, South Africa. His experiences across different countries, cultures, and industries gave him a unique perspective on innovation, leadership, and opportunity within emerging markets.
Today, Abui Mrusi is involved in multiple ventures across tourism and real estate development in Zanzibar, with a strong focus on sustainable growth, ethical tourism, and long-term investment in the island’s future. He is co-founder of ExploreZanzi.com and part of the team behind PADDCO, a development company focused on real estate, construction, and property management projects in Zanzibar.
Abui Mrusi strongly believes that the foundations provided by the British curriculum played a significant role in shaping his communication skills, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset — values he continues to carry into every project and initiative today.

As the Founder & CEO of Kraftors Web Solutions, he leads the vision of creating secure and practical AI systems for organizations that require full control over their data.
At Oakbridge International, Gaurav leads our digital transformation, focusing on applied AI domains like Document Intelligence, Image Intelligence, and Voice & Speech AI. His approach involves preparing domain-specific datasets and fine-tuning open-source models to deliver optimized AI that integrates seamlessly into educational workflows, reducing manual effort through reliable and practical technology.
Alongside his enterprise work, Gaurav is deeply involved in research and innovation, specifically in applied sleep research using machine learning for stage prediction. His mission is to ensure the next generation of AI is secure, responsible, and deeply integrated into real-world workflows to drive meaningful innovation.
